Vintage 1978 children's / boy's Simplicity sewing pattern, style number 8714 in sizes 7 - 8. Every boy's dream is to be a superhero on Halloween, so why not make one for your child that is unique and will surely receive compliments!
Child's and boys' costumes: V. 1 and 2 costumes worn with tie-on cape feature emblem trimmed long sleeved top and shorts with contrasting casing. V. 1 has shaped cape with matching hood and armbands. V. 3 costume consists of a velcro fastened top with collar of cap fabric and short sleeves of armband fabric. Trims match belt and cape.
The pattern envelope may show wear and tear from age or storage, or have writing or markings which do not affect the pattern tissue. Pattern pieces are partially cut for Superman costume only, 2 pieces have tape on them but they are still very useable. The pattern tissue pieces and instructions inside are complete. Copyright dated 1978.
